Resignation of Clan Rage

Title: Resignation of Clan Rage

We are sorry to announce that Clan Rage resigns from the Runehordes.Info tournament. First of all we really regret to fuck up the tournament like this, normally we would never do this but yesterday's match has changed a lot in Rage.

At first, we were all eager to play and try to win this tournament as it was one of the few tournaments which had a good chance at succes, but we had our doubts about whether we would stay in the tournament after ioe^ signed up. I believe you can read it somewhere in the runehordes forums as well. We decided to stay in and wanted see what would happen. We won the first two rounds which were great matches btw, respect to RoV & Memoria.

Then we had to face ioe^ in the WB final. We've always suspected that ioe^ had some cheaters and that's the reason we always declined a cw against them, we were forced to play them now because of the tournament schedule, that was the only way ioe^Imposter would ever have his so beloved clanwar against us which he practically begged for on the old rage forums. Yesterday our reasons for declining the war were completely confirmed. [Note: not every member of ioe^ cheats but from what we've seen, most of them do]

ioe played us with full haxx ultraspeed moves and rotation haxxorz, just as we suspected but we still managed to win the match. After the match we had an internal clanmeeting on msn and we talked a lot about this match and as a clan we decided to drop out of the tournament.

The final is a long time away from now and It's very likely that we would face ioe in the final again. We simply do not have the time and the energy to train a lot for the final just to beat a bunch of cheaters once again. We have been there, we've done that. This has nothing to do with being afraid of losing, we've beaten them once, why wouldn't we be able to beat them again? Fact is that most of the Rage members were like 14-17 when they started, now most of us are 20 or older and have better things to do than to waste their time on training to beat cheating teams like that.

The fact is, matches like that make us wanna quit rune because we realise now what rune has become. On top of that, Most of our members are quite tired of this game and don't have the energy to play that much to perform the way people would expect it from Clan Rage. Especially the fact that we allready know that one of our leaders and some other members are going to be afk the entire summer (starting from june). By playing in this tournament, we've showed that we are still a top-runeclan and by beating every opponent in our way with ioe^ as climax we've climbed the mountain top. Now we feel that due to both, internal and external reasons our path in this tournament is over.

Secondly, we are done trying to prove these haxxor kids that we can still beat them with fair skills. We have proven that skills can overcome even the 'best' cheaters. We've totally had it with those people/kids and we do not feel like playing any more of these kind of fuckin' retarded haxxor matches. ioe^ got their fuckin' war and we won it, we have nothing more to prove now.

Where's your proof that ioe^ cheats?
We don't have solid proof, but the ones who have played certain players of ioe^ in a war know what I'm talking about. Yesterday we were too focussed on winning the game instead of recording that they cheated.

A few last things: don't misunderstand us, we will not quit rune, but we will play less for pwnage etc. We'll be having a server soon and I can assure you that most of ioe^ will be banned there as well as any other cheater that we catch there.

In the end we say to you:

Impostor + cheaters of ioe^, go take your clan somewhere else now and use your cheats against the new german noob clans that are around. Don't ever cross our path again.

And last, this is directed to Soren, we have every respect for you as an admin for setting up the tournament and putting effort in this useless community. It seems like it's a waste of time now with the haxx/cheats that are around these days. We really appreciate all the work you have done though you might think differently because our decision.

How convenient.

I think what makes tournaments a waste of time has more to do with signed up clans defecting after half the event.

Seriously, you people really amaze me sometimes...

I do not agree with Nomad very often anymore like I used to times before, but he is kinda right here, you could have waited until the end..

I apparently even manage to cheat on text-based forums. Damn, I'm good!

Rage deserves every respect they get. I don't mean that as a team because they are good, but because they are good people.

I actually don't trust IOE either. Especially after I learned more about them recently by reading things in various forums.

Message from Mohawk:

We never claimed that we would "own" ioe but on the contrary we DID beat them with a  team consisting of only inactive players.

Indeed. But the funny part is how naive some people are in this game.

I actually agree about that. That particular comment about chickens was immature.

However, all I have to do to have a similar case about rage members is to quote a random post in this forum. Such as the first post in this topic. Shindara's initial response to my post. Various posts in the rage vs ioe-thread. Don't throw stones in glass houses.

I think its poor of Rage to retrieve like this. You should have thought more carefully about those “cheats” before signing up.

Thanks for the great match though. I sure hope we can have some more upcoming.
